# Product Recommendations

The product recommendations that display in the section are based on products that are commonly purchased together or products in related collections. For more information, see [Product recommendations](https://shopify.dev/themes/product-merchandising/recommendations).

If you want to add related products on product detail pages on top of the automatically generated recommendations Shopify provides, You must install [Shopify Search & Discovery](https://halosoft.gitbook.io/halo-docs/installation/install-app/shopify-search-and-discovery).

1. From your Shopify admin, go to **Online Store** -> **Themes**.
2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click **Customize**.
3. Choose **Products** from the dropdown window.
4. Click **Product Recommendations.**
