# Hot stock function

**Hot Stock Function** will alert customers when a variant of product is lower than the inventory level you set up. Customers will never miss out on that must-have product again.

1. From your Shopify admin, go to **Online Store** **->** **Themes**.
2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click **Customize**.
3. Click **Theme settings -> General -> Hot stock function**.
