# Featured article

The Featured article section highlights one blog post in an editorial layout. Use it on the homepage or landing pages to promote a recent story, guide, or lookbook article.

The article is selected in the section settings. Content (title, excerpt, image, button) is built from the **Article editorial** block and standard theme blocks (Heading, Text, Button).

### There are 2 ways to add a Section to your store

#### 1. Add a pre-made section from our demo?

#### 2. Add the Featured article section manually?

* From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store -> Themes.
* Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click Customize.
* In the Templates -> Add section -> choose **Featured article**.

#### Padding

### Default blocks

* **Article editorial** (static) — renders the selected article media and content.
* Heading, article title, article description, and Button can be added or edited inside the editorial block.

Pick an article first, then customize typography and the call-to-action in the nested blocks.
