# Color Gradient

You can set up a gradient of colors in **Concept** for visually interesting background options.

{% hint style="info" %}
To learn more about gradients and CSS backgrounds, refer to [Mozilla's linear gradient](https://developer.mozilla.org/fr/docs/Web/CSS/gradient/linear-gradient\(\)) and [CSS background](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/background) documentation.
{% endhint %}

## How to setup color gradients?

1. From your Shopify admin, go to **Online Store** **->** **Themes**.
2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click **Customize**.
3. Select one of the gradient options.

{% hint style="info" %}

* If you haven't set up a color gradient yet, several preset options are displayed for you to choose. Select any preset gradients to open the option panel.
* If you've already set up a color gradient, then click a gradient option to open the option panel directly.
* If you did set up a mono color and want to change to gradient, please remove the color code in CSS code field. Next, click a gradient option to open the option panel directly.
* A color gradient only works for settings having "**Custom CSS**" or "**Linear gradient**" in the Editor.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://halosoft.gitbook.io/concept-documentation/overview/online-store-2.0/color-gradient.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
